About Re:Set
High energy anthems, beach bar vibes, and a fresh start.
Re:Set was born from the need for something new. It came from leaving the drama behind and stepping into a relaxed, happy, high energy environment where the music comes first. Built for the beach scene of Pinellas County, Re:Set brings feel good anthems from the 60s to today, turning every show into a singalong party packed with rhythm, personality, and sauce.
Based around the beaches and venues of St. Pete, Clearwater, Indian Rocks Beach, and the surrounding Tampa Bay area, Re:Set is a four piece band with a wide musical background and a simple mission: play the songs people love, keep the crowd connected, and make every set feel like a celebration.
Our song selection says everything about Re:Set: we are here to make people feel good. We pull from the 60s to today with beach classics, reggae, Latin rock, classic rock, 80s anthems, 90s favorites, country rock, pop, and full volume singalongs. One minute it is “Margaritaville,” “Three Little Birds,” or “Dock of the Bay,” and the next it is “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Mr. Brightside,” “Jessie’s Girl,” “La Bamba,” or “Livin’ La Vida Loca.” That range is intentional. We are built for beach towns, bar crowds, private parties, and anyone who wants familiar songs with real energy. Re:Set brings musicianship, personality, rhythm, and sauce, all pointed toward one goal: keeping the crowd singing, dancing, smiling, and staying for one more song.
On guitar is Alan Viera, originally from Puerto Rico and better known as El Papi. Alan brings the guitar, the feel, the fire, and the kind of stage swagger that makes the crowd pay attention. Some say the ladies find him sexy, and he is not exactly arguing with them. Alan started as a music teacher before making a career shift into the automotive industry in 2013, but music never left him. His classic rock roots, love for big choruses, and passion for songs people actually want to hear helped shape the foundation of Re:Set.
On vocals is Robert Romero, better known as Tico, originally from Costa Rica. Rob first connected with Alan through the automotive world, where he was Alan’s boss before becoming a close friend and bandmate. A seasoned performer, Rob brings experience from the Pinellas County theater scene, especially with Gulfport Community Theater, along with years of singing at private events. Rob brings the sass, the humor, the vibe, and the kind of personality that makes the crowd feel like they are part of the show.
On bass is Francisco Abad, also known as Reni. Reni is the calculated one, the brains, and a serious musical force. With deep knowledge across multiple instruments, including cuatro puertorriqueño, cuatro venezolano, classical guitar, electric guitar, piano, saxophone, and bass, Reni brings precision, groove, and musical intelligence to everything Re:Set does. He has performed with Puerto Rican bands including Disturbios, Si Señor, Fuego Caliente, and others. His musicianship gives the band depth, flavor, and that extra level of polish.
On drums is Nicole, originally from Long Island, NY. An accomplished music teacher and experienced drummer, Nicole has played with bands including Filthy Royalty and Before Arcadia, among others. Nicole brings the beat, powerful female vocals, and the biggest drum energy in town. Her rhythm, precision, and intensity drive the band from the back of the stage and keep every song moving forward.
Together, Re:Set blends classic rock, pop, reggae, Latin energy, country rock, dance hits, beach favorites, and singalong anthems into a show made for good times. From laid back afternoons by the water to packed nights with people dancing and singing along, Re:Set brings the experience, the sound, the laughs, the groove, and the energy.
We bring the sauce.
